MediaHQ is your online database of media contacts. It is an extensive collection of the contact details, biographies, and current projects of every Irish journalist, broadcaster, radio presenter and editor in the country. It is also a place where your news can be published on our news network and pushed to social media channels.
So many contacts
There are over 25, 000 contacts available on MediaHQ. This means over 25, 000 email addresses, over 25, 000 direct lines, over 25, 000 social media links and over 25, 000 up-to-date biographies of the media movers and shakers that you need to contact. We know that in the media these days, time is money, which is why on MediaHQ we have not only provided you with every Irish media contact you could ever need, we have also furnished you with the means of contacting them with your press release or social media release in one fell swoop.
Sending out your message
With the MediaHQ press release distribution service, you can search for contacts on the system, and create your own lists from our database, or simply use the hundreds of lists already made and available for use. Then with one simple click you can send out your release to these contacts through a traditional media release, a social media release, or both, ensuring that your story gets the most coverage possible. You can even schedule your release so that while you’re on lunch, on your way home from work, or stuck in traffic, MediaHQ has sent out your release for you so that it reaches the right people at the right time.
Making it social
With our ‘Max’ and ‘Go Social’ packages you can easily publish your release on your company’s Twitter and Facebook pages from our site, without the need to log in separately. Your news network
With MediaHQ you can claim your own company page, where each release you send will appear and where your press officers’ contact details will be shown. You can categorise your story, add tags, add your Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube feeds and receive comments on your news. It will also appear on our site’s news page, making it available to a whole network of people outside those you originally sent your release to.
Media lists
We have lists that vary from regional newspaper newsdesks, to national television stations, to radio stations in the Leinster region, to sports desks in Ulster. These lists are constantly being worked on, added to, and new lists are put up on the site regularly. Our aim is to have every type of specialist, national and regional list of contacts up on the site. With MediaHQ you can also add your own contacts to your profile, and send your press release out to them and the media at the same time.
Release reports
Because you can send your release out on MediaHQ, it means that a media report will automatically be saved in your account. It also means that if your release didn’t make it to one or more of your selected contacts, we’ll know and we’ll be able to email you the reasons and corrections to ensure they get the message.
Constantly updated
We pride ourselves on having all contacts correct and up-to-date. Which is why, if you notice a change that we’ve missed, you can tell us. In fact, please do. MediaHQ is constantly updated, so your contacts stay correct longer.
From your own email address
Any release sent using MediaHQ comes from your email address, so any responses you get will also be to your email address. MediaHQ will be nowhere in your release, the journalists and newsrooms you contact will know the release is from you, and they will reply to you.

With MediaHQ you can personalise all of the releases you send with one click. Instead of a simple ‘Hi there’ or an impersonal ‘To whom it may concern’, one button on our site allows you to insert the recipients’ names into each release sent.
