YouTube have just launched a new project called Life In A Day, a user-generated campaign that will take HD video submissions filmed on July 24th, editing them to create a film that shows what that day looked like around the world. Interestingly, they’ve brought on Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald to direct and edit the film that will be premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.Anyone can contribute to the project and all you need to do is capture some HD footage on July 24 and then upload it on the official Life In A Day channel. I think the content of this documentary-style film will be really diverse, but with guys like Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald, it should come out amazing. And even more interesting, is that YouTube are asking for the video content you capture to show no limits and be as creative, personal or random as you like …! Find out more info here.
