Ireland’s new regional radio station i105107 broke the mould recently by launching the search for Ireland’s first ever TJ.
The station which broadcasts to eight counties in the Midlands and North East launched a competition in June – in an attempt to find the country’s first ever Twitter Jock.
The i105107 TJ was asked to show off their tweeting prowess and send in their examples of recent tweets. They were also asked by the station to tweet the reason they should be chosen to get the password to the i105107 twitter page and become the station’s official Tweeter at Oxegen.
This interesting online experiment proved a success with the winner – 18 year old Conor Kelly from Clones, Co Monaghan – joining the i105107 team in the VIP area of the Oxegen Music Festival for the entire weekend and tweeting updates live from the event.
Over the Oxegen Weekend, Conor’s thumbs tweeted relentlessly as he brought the i105107 twitter followers live updates from the different gigs.
