The second annual Content is King conference was held yesterday in the RDS and proved a very successful and entertaining day.

We had a very interesting and insightful quickfire case study session with Neil Molloy of “The Hop Inn” pub in Athenry challenging George Hook for quote of the day with “Up until yesterday I thought a powerpoint is where you plugged the kettle in!”.

It was extremely interesting to see how people from a variety of different backgrounds were all using social media so effectively to boost their businesses.

The days final session provided excellent presentations from Nic Newman, Timo Luege and Christian Payne a.k.a Documentally. Other shout outs on the day must go to the Deborah and Laura from Walmer College and Holistic centre who kept our delegates relaxed throughout the day by providing free massages and a big thanks to Fran Hollywood of madeinhollywood.ie for providing our awesome podium which i think is up for sale on twitter. We were also provided with the excellent work of Geppetto Co:Lab who provided live artwork on our big screen throughout the day. Their drawings from the conference can be downloaded from their website Geppetto Co:Lab and an excellent piece they drew for crystal swing can be seen in the background of the Hucklebuck performance above!

A final word of thanks must also go to Pat O’Mahony as chair for the conference who kept everything running smoothly and provided some excellent questions for the speakers.
