Meet the people headlining our Social Media Festival

In four week’s time we’re hosting a Social Media Summer Festival which will consist of 6 unique workshops over 3 days spanning all manner of social media. Whether you’re a novice who wants to up your game or a beginner who’s  just getting started on Facebook, Twitter and the like, rest assured you will benefit from any and all of the below sessions (click the links to find out more).

As well as our own Managing Director Jack, we’re flying in three social media experts from the UK to give us their view on what’s what. They’re all very highly regarded in their respective industries so any opportunity to hear what they have to say shouldn’t be missed – trust us, we’re speaking from experience. The Speakers

Will McInnes – Founder, Nixon Mcinnes
Will McInnes is a passionate voice on how the internet is radically changing our personal behaviour, our organizations and our society. He has particular expertise in the social web, and is part of the movement to harness and understand the cultural impact of online social networks like Twitter and Facebook. The specialist consultancy Will founded, NixonMcInnes, is one of only two UK organisations to have made the WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces. Will is a non-executive director of Wired Sussex, which supports the development of the digital business community in Brighton. He has just written a book entitled ‘Culture Shock’ about the movement of revolutionary businesses emerging into the 21st century.

Katie Moffat – Independent Consultant in PR and Digital industries
Katie Moffat is an independent consultant who has worked in the PR and digital industries for over 15 years, she has extensive experience of devising and implementing integrated communications strategies for a wide range of clients across a variety of industries and sectors including agencies, B2C, B2B, arts and public sector.

Christian Payne – Social Technologist
Social Technologist and early adopter, Christian Payne (AKA Documentally) is one of the freshest and most dynamic voices exploring new and social media. Having spent years experimenting and exploring countless social media platforms he now talks and give workshops on social technology internationally. His past projects include documenting the plight of Iraqi refugees for the United Nations; video blogging for the British Council in Pakistan and working alongside Reuters on groundbreaking political projects with Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg. Christian has created and disseminated tens of thousands of online movies over multiple platforms.

Jack Murray – Managing Director, Mediacontact.ie
Jack is one of Ireland’s leading communications experts. He is the Managing Director of Mediacontact.ie, Irelands leading Media Intelligence Agency. Jack has over 12 years experience  in marketing, journalism, and media relations. A former spokesperson for  Irish political party the Progressive Democrats, Murray  also worked as a government advisor.
