Shoppers at Oasis, Warehouse and Karen Millen in the UK can now use their phones to pay for clothes.
PayPal launched an in-store app on 31st May in 230 stores across the UK. It generates a unique barcode and transaction number that the cashier scans to take payment from your PayPal account.
It works when there is no mobile or wi-fi signal and is available on iOS and Android devices.
No personal information is stored on phones – you unlock the application with a unique PIN number. Here’s a video showing the app at work.
Sounds like shopping sprees could get dangerous.
