Multimedia Releases get 77% more reviews

June 7th, 2012 Posted in Media, Online, trends No Comments

Although no proof was ever needed, it has now been confirmed that press releases with multimedia content (i.e links, videos, and the like) give a remarkable increase in views, a 77 per cent increase in
fact.

The research by PR Newswire found that only 55 per cent of PR professionals actually use multimedia news content. Considering that every media outlet now has a website and almost all of them feature videos, images and other content, sending a text-only release no longer makes any sense.

Adding media content to your release is easy and the benefits are immeasurable. Start by keeping stats of how many views you get on releases, article and blog posts. Keep track of which ones have images, charts, infographics and/or video with them. See which get the most earned media mentions and compare the numbers. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Have a look at our own news release site, mediahq.com, to see how you could reap the benefits of social media releases.
