Uchek can check for up to 25 health issues such as diabetes and urinary tract infections. The app can be bought from the Apple App store and comes with a matt and dispsticks, which normalise the colours to provide a better analyses.
Users can take a picture of the sample on the dipstick with their smartphone and the app will analyse glucose, proteins, nitrates and other substances in the sample to show medical issues.
The creator of the app Myshkin Ingawale said that “There is huge potential to get the world of biochemistry out to users via apps.”Uchek can be used on iOS and an Android version will be developed.
