Jack Murray of Mediacontact.ie had a chat with Brady Forrest of O’Reilly Media at Picnic 10 in Amsterdam.

Brady Forrest is Chair for O’Reilly’s Where 2.0 and co-Chairs Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco and New York City. Brady writes for O’Reilly Radar tracking changes in technology. He started Ignite, a geek event which has spread to over a hundred cities worldwide. He also builds robots and cars for Burning Man and competes for Mayor of finer establishments. This is a keynote address about the future of journalism by media lecturer, and visionary Jeff Jarvis at Media Picnic in Amsterdam on September 23rd 2010 at 10 am.

Jarvis writes about media, technology, and publicness for his blog, Buzzmachine.com, and for the Guardian. He wrote the book, What Would Google Do?, and is working on his next, Public Parts (about the benefits of publicness).

He heads the entrepreneurial journalism program at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. He was creator and founding editor of Entertainment Weekly magazine, Sunday editor of the New York Daily News, TV critic for TV Guide and People, and a columnist on the San Francisco Examiner.
