This one day practical workshop will raise your awareness of the new online landscape of social media and online social networks and help you develop new key practical, actionable skills to monitor and address-reputational issues and increase your passion and enthusiasm for the digital social media opportunity.

The course is aimed at experienced communicators who want build upon their existing communications skills with new social media skills, to achieve better results from public relations campaigns.

Will McInnes is the Managing Director of NixonMcInnes, the UK's largest specialist social media agency, based in the thriving digital community in Brighton.

A marketer by training, Will and his team are helping brands like BMW, Channel 4, Oxfam and Co-operative Financial Services break new ground in how they use digital media to engage with the people that matter: customers, staff, investors and the rest of the world.
 
Will McInnes is evangelical about all things social media, but more importantly he is an inspiring translator. Will monitors the geeky early adopter activity online and translates the concepts for marketers desperate to know how to apply these new online techniques.

Beth Granter is an experienced social media consultant with Nixon McInnes where she works with companies the BBC, First Choice Holidays & Thomson Holidays, University of Sussex, RSPCA, and Mind, to help them get the best out of social media.

She completed an MA in Digital Media where she specialised in curating new media art, and online communities. She also has a specialism in the not-for-profit sector.

 In college, Beth studied biology, including animal communication, human behaviour, evolution and ecology. She finds it's surprising how much of that is relevant to what she does now as a social media consultant.

Last year she wrote a chapter called “Breaking the hierarchy – democratising the institutional web presence” which was published in the book, “Technology supported learning environments – methods and case studies”.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing no later than 21 days prior to the conference. An admin fee of €75 + VAT will be charged for all cancellations, to be deducted from any refund or invoice. No cancellations can be made within 20 days of the course but a replacement delegate can be nominated. No delegate is permitted to attend without prior payment being made. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.
