RTE.ie still top of media sites

RTÉ.ie is Ireland's leading media website according to the Joint National Internet Research (JNIR) results released last week, with 25pc of all internet users aged 15-plus using the site in 2008.

The website has 483,000 users, placing it 190,000 ahead of Independent.ie and Ireland.com/Irish Times.com, its closest media website competitors.

For advertisers, RTÉ.ie strongly delivers key demographic groups with 70pc of weekly users aged between 19 - 44; 57pc of weekly users are aged between 25 - 44; 63pc of weekly users are ABC1. Frequent usage and engagement with RTÉ.ie is demonstrated by the fact that 43pc those who have accessed RTÉ.ie in the last 12 months have done so in the last week.
