TV3 announces current affairs developments

TV3 has announced that Vincent Browne has signed a new multi-year contract with the channel. Since joining TV3 just over 14 months ago, Vincent has made a hugely successful impact with his "Nightly News" programme with audience figures up by  60%.

Due to its success to date, the programme will now be extended from 40 minutes to an hour, Monday to Thursday.
 
TV3 has also announced the ending of the highly regarded current affairs programme "The Political Party with Ursula Halligan". The programme is being taken off the air in order to allow Ursula launch a new one-hour programme in the near future profiling leading Irish and international figures from the worlds of politics, business, religion, the arts and entertainment.
