The Sunday Times bucks market trend
28 November 08

The Sunday Times achieved record monthly sales in the Republic of Ireland during the months of September and October, according to the latest figures released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

The publication achieved record average monthly sales of 113,585 in September but superceded this again in October with an historic all-time high of 114,282 copies. The previous sales record for the title was set in April 2004.

The move follows substantial investment in the brand over the past six months. The Sunday Times underwent a complete redesign earlier this year which was supported with a EUR1 million brand advertising campaign across a variety of media. The redesign includes new modern typefaces, more colour and a variety of new features which give the title a fresher and more vibrant look. A new tagline for the publication was also implemented: 'The Sunday Times - For All You Are'.
