Nuacht moves to Galway

All RTE's Irish language news will be broadcast from the TG4 studios in Baile na hAbhann, Co Galway from this week, following a €3m revamp of the service.

The Irish language Nuacht programme, presented by Siún Nic Gearailt, will move to a new slot at 5.45pm seven days a week, with a total of 42 staff to be involved in the research and presentation of Irish news for RTE and TG4.

Three new technical positions have been created. It is the first time that RTE has moved part of its main service outside Dublin.
