All eyes on teen media
21 July 09
A new report on teenagers' media usage from Nielsen in the US has some interesting insights. These include:
- teens are watching more TV than ever, up by 6 per cent in five years
- teens spend less time browsing the internet than adults, 11.5 hours a month compared with the adult average of 29
- teens still read newspapers, listen to radio and are more receptive to advertising than most other social groups
- teens mostly name as their favourites the same sort of TV shows and websites as their parents do.
