Galway firms are Hollywood-bound

Two small Galway-based film and animation production firms are targeting Hollywood. Telegael Group, based in An Spideal Galway, and Studio Solas, based in Connemara are opening an office in Los Angeles to target big film productions for contracts.

The office will be headed by veteran producer Norman Siderow (Stardust) who has worked in both Ireland and the United States. Both companies offer a range of filming and post-production facilities which they hope to develop and grow with their new West Coast office. This new base will enable the businesses to develop relationships with US companies, to promote the range of facilities which both companies can offer, and to highlight the advantages of Ireland as an international production location.
