Calling all animal lovers ....

At Mediacontact.ie we are big fans of animals. See the picture attached of our office dog Maxi Lopez.

In the Summer of 2006 Maxi was abandoned at 8 weeks old in Ringsend Park and left for dead, until we were lucky enough to get him from Sandymount-based vet Dick Lavelle. In short,
Maxi is a legend, but if he hadn't been rescued he would have been destroyed.

At the weekend I met Tina Brophy. Tina is a life-long animal enthusiast and runs an organisation, based in the village of Ballygarrett, called Wexford Pet Helpers. Every week Tina rehomes at least 10 rescued pets here in Ireland and the UK, and she does it all because she loves animals.

I mentioned to her that a simple website where she could feature the rescued pets looking for homes with Youtube movies would be very useful to her work. She loves the idea, but she has no money to make it happen.

So we are wondering if there is any web developer who would donate some of their time to create this website for Wexford Pet Helpers? Mediacontact.ie will pay for the hosting, write the copy and pay for the domain name. All we need is a web developer who can put the pieces of the jigsaw together.
