Bespoke agency takes new Direction
27 October 09
Bespoke Communications has merged with Direction@JWT, part of the DDFH&B group, to create a new firm called Bespoke with Direction.
The new agency will be headed by Neil O'Gorman, founder of Bespoke, and will specialise in public relations, social media, experiential marketing and promotional marketing.
O 'Gorman said he would be a ''significant'' shareholder in the merged group.
Between them, the two firms have a wide range of consumer clients, including Centra, PlayStation, BT (Bespoke) and Denny, Fáilte Ireland and Nokia (Direction).
O'Gorman, who had a team of just four people at Bespoke, said he was delighted by the opportunity to grow his business in ''one fell swoop''.
Together, the two firms have 12 staff.' 'I feel like I can really fast-track what I was trying to do with Bespoke, but which might have taken two more years in a good market," he said.
''As a result of the merger of two successful agencies, we now have a really strong set of skills and expertise within the team, which means that our current clients and all new clients stand to benefit. The resources within the DDFH&B Group will open up many doors for us as an agency. This is impossible to ignore, not least in the current economic climate."
Gary Brown, group head of DDFH&B's below-the-line agencies, said he believed the creation of Bespoke with Direction was a big step forward for both companies.
''This will greatly add to our business and allow us to deliver even more integrated campaigns for those clients looking for one agency which can handle all of their below-the-line marketing needs," he said.
