Simon Fuller: creative content is king

Music mogul, Simon Fuller, has commented that the new and emerging fields of social and digital media mean there is room for numerous players. While he admits that Google and Microsoft have a head start in engaging with the market, the unique form of the current media means that the creative innovator will lead the way.
In a seriously mixed metaphor, Fuller claims that in the serious war zone that is the current media industry, no one company has yet struck oil, but his hat is firmly in the ring of the creative entrepreneur.
The fact that content is king in social and digital media makes for a more exciting market that encourages competitive creativity from any and all areas, regardless of clout. This opens up the industry completely and means that it is the best idea that wins out and not the idea with the most financial backing.
