Certus Releases

Certus, the bank services outsource provider, has raised over €116,000 for Heart Children Ireland, the company’s 2011 charity of the year, with the majority through donations raised  by colleagues.  The funds raised will fulfil Heart Children Ireland’s ambition to purchase a much needed 3D echo machine valued at nearly €100,000. This machine will allow ‘real time’ 3D imaging during surgery resulting in a better outcome for young teenagers suffering from congenital heart disorders.

The huge amount of money raised reflects the genuine commitment and effort shown by colleagues in Certus who organised dozens of fundraising activities nationally and regionally throughout the year; including cake sales, climbing Croke Patrick, balloon blasts and many other sporting and social events.  The most successful fundraising activity was the publication of a cookery book called ‘A Taste of Certus’ which featured over 100 recipes by Certus colleagues and raised over €10,000 for the charity.
