Irish Heart Foundation Releases

First man to run a lap of Ireland completes 35 marathons on Saturday, 30th June, Waterford.

21-year-old Alan Corcoran is set to finish his final 35th marathon on Saturday, 30th June at the Viking Marathon in Waterford.

The race starts at 9am. Alan is currently running on average 5 hour+ marathons.

Alan embarked on the epic 917-mile challenge to become the first man to run a lap of Ireland in 35 marathons back to back in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation's stroke campaign.

He was inspired to run after his father Milo Corcoran, ex FAI President, suffered a stroke last year.
