Bluebird Care Announces Job Creation Plan
There’s good news on the jobs front this week with 75 jobs planned for counties Sligo and Mayo.
Home care provider Bluebird Care has launched a recruitment drive for care staff and specialist nursing roles following their recent appointment as an HSE approved provider for enhanced homecare packages 2012 (services for older persons).
The positions will come on stream over the next six months and will be open to care workers, live-in care workers and support workers throughout Co. Sligo and throughout Co. Mayo.
Kevin McMorrow, Director of Bluebird Care Sligo and Mayo says, “this recruitment drive marks a doubling of our team from 75 to 150. These are vital jobs for the region and we look forward to interviewing potential candidates. We deliver high standards so will be expecting similar high standards from applicants. All Bluebird Care staff are FETAC accredited but also benefit from ongoing professional development training while with us. So it’s more than a job, we are offering a career.”
Interested candidates should hold a FETAC Level 5 (8 Modules) Health Care Assistant and/or An Bord Altranais Registration (Nurses) and have experience in delivering high quality care.
Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate their reliability, self-motivation, dedication and passion about high standards. Candidates also need a full driving license and own their own car.
Experience in caring for children, young adults and older people, as well as experience with physical and sensory or learning disability care is also welcome.
Full training will be provided for successful applicants including people handling training; ongoing training and development; in-house training modules; Bluebird Care induction programme and Garda vetting.
Having recently been appointed as an HSE approved provider for enhanced homecare packages 2012 (services for older persons), Bluebird Care pride themselves on meeting and indeed exceeding standards and delivering the highest level of care within the community.
