Kavanagh’s SuperValu Mayo 'Help Us to Help Others Cycle Challenge'

Calling all elite and novice cyclists, come along and join the management and staff of the four Kavanagh's SuperValu Mayo stores - Castlebar, Claremorris, Kiltimagh and O’Connors Westport – for a cycling challenge that will change lives.

As part of their 'Help Us to Help Others' campaign, launched in April this year, staff of the four Kavanagh's SuperValu Mayo stores will be mounting their bikes and taking on the pedalling challenge in their quest to raise €30,000 in aid of the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.

The Beginners 50km, starting at 10am on Saturday 15th of September, will begin in Westport, following onto Castlebar, to Newport and will conclude in Westport again. The Advanced 100km will commence at 10am on Saturday 15th of September from Westport, leading onto Castlebar, to Kiltimagh, to Claremorris, to Castlebar, and finish again in Westport.

Extending a warm welcome to all Noreen Coyne, Kavanagh's SuperValu Group HR Manager says: “We are heartened by the fantastic response our 'Help Us to Help Others' Campaign has received so far and the amount of hard work and dedication from staff, customers and community alike.”

“We look forward to taking on our biggest challenge yet on Saturday 15th of September and would like to invite all avid and novice cyclists throughout the country to join us in what will be a great day out for a great cause” says Noreen.

Alongside a busy calendar of novel fundraising events that will be carried out throughout the four Kavanagh's SuperValu Mayo Stores – Castlebar, Claremorris, Kiltimagh and O’Connors Westport - The Kavanagh Group will make a donation to the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice with every Real Rewards swipe by customers in each of the four stores from now until October 2012.

You can register now for the “Help Us to Help Other's Cycle Challenge" online at www.kavanaghgroup.ie for a registration fee of €30. You can also register in any of the four Kavanagh's SuperValu Mayo stores for a registration fee of €40. A team of 4 can enter the Cycle Challenge for €100.
