Paddy Power Releases

(01 June 2012) Rush hour traffic on Usher’s Quay in Dublin City was unexpectedly busy this morning as Euro 2012-bound camper vans queued for a free fill of petrol courtesy of Paddy Power.

The generous bookie offered €100 of free petrol or diesel to all Ireland fans driving to next week’s European Football Finals in Poland who came along to the Top Oil station at Ushers Quay this morning.

A queue of twelve camper vans patiently awaited the 9am arrival of celebrity fuel attendants John Aldridge and Ray Houghton who were assisted by top models Nadia Forde and Lynn Kelly and Paddy Power himself.  A further fifty camper vans descended on the petrol station over the following two hours.

Ireland legend John Aldridge said “Being with all the fans here today has got me properly excited. I know the players and the fans will do us proud in Poland and fair play to Paddy helping get them over there”

Paddy Power said “I think we’ve successfully managed to bring the spirit of Euro 2012 to Usher’s Quay this morning.  They were a great bunch of lads which we’re only too happy to send on their way to Poland with a full tank of juice on us!”
