DAITHÍ TO ADD ANOTHER RÓS TO THE FAMILY?

With the women of Ireland still crying in to their cornflakes this morning following the marriage of Daithí O’Sé, Paddy Power have opened the betting on what will be the name of Ireland’s latest golden couple’s first child.

Having met while proud gaeilgóir Daithí was presenting and Rita was competing at the Rose of Tralee festival it’s unsurprising that Rós is the 8/1 favourite with its English equivalent, Rose, at 12/1.

Daithí is considered the most likely contender should the child be a boy followed by Maidhc, Daithí’s father’s name, and Michael, Rita’s father’s name, at 10/1 and 14/1.

Elsewhere, Paddy Power are also offering odds of 6/1 on Dathí and Rita’s daughter to win the Rose of Tralee while it’s 5/6 for the sex of the child to be either male or female.

Paddy Power said “With Daithí and Rita becoming Ireland’s latest star couple it might be only a matter of time before we have a Daithí or Rita beag amongst us.”
