MURPHY FAVOURITE FOR MISS UNIVERSE CROWN

(4 October 2012) With the Miss Universe Ireland pageant just around the corner Paddy Power have installed Miss Dandelion Adrienne Murphy as their 6/4 favourite slightly ahead of dethroned Miss Ireland Maire Hughes who’s at 7/4.

Both Murphy and Hughes are well ahead of the chasing pack with Miss Wright Venue Alyson Boyle and Miss Naas Court Hotel Rachel Wallace who are at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively.

Further down in the betting is Miss Cork Universe Katriona Louise O’Mahony at 9/1 while Miss Vanity X Rachel Coen props up the betting at 14/1.

A spokesperson from Paddy Power said “Many of the heats are yet to finish but it’s difficult to look beyond Maire Hughes and Adrienne Murphy for the title. Maire Hughes has a proven pedigree in these pageants but she’ll face a major challenge Adrienne Murphy.”
